At a news conference today, Husker Corey McKeon voiced his opinions on how the Cornhuskers are doing this year. Basically he said that the defense is beat up, and the defense isn't getting any respect, besides being 3-1. His spirits were definitely the opposite of how he normally handles himself. Here's an excerpt: The jokester in Corey McKeon was nowhere to be found Tuesday. After a couple weeks of silence, the personable Husker senior linebacker put his vocal chords back to work at Tuesday’s press conference. He didn’t come to be funny this time. Answering questions for more than 27 minutes in a backward hat and with a somber tone, McKeon said the fun had been yanked out of football so far this year. You can read the full article from the Husker Zone website here. Does this fare well for the Husker defense? McKeon is currently 7th on the team in tackles this year, compared to 3rd on the team during the 2006 Husker Season. Hmmmmm....

    • I think he was really speaking from his heart. No BSing and not trying to impress anyone or put on any fronts - proof of how much McKeon cares about the team.
