I never knew Pelini was such a standout athlete as a younger man! Just got done reading a great article from the World Herald that tells about Pelini's beginnings and growing up in Youngstown, Ohio. It mentions some other notable football coaches that he grew up with (the Stoops family).
It's nice to have background information and anecdotes about the coach that will be leading our Huskers in 2008 and beyond. You can read the article here.
