Currently a Notre Dame commit, Stepp appears to be a talent that the Huskers are going to fight for until he signs. With running back prospects to potentially take this cycle slowing to a trickle, running backs coach Reggie Davis finds himself with only a few available names and some are very firm such as Oklahoma commit T.J. Pledger.
It appears that Stepp is the Big Red’s best chance to get a running back for the class of 2017 and it’ll be a fight to get him. Regardless of whether or not Nebraska manages to take a back this cycle, taking two for the 2019 class still seems likely.
