  • Looking back at last year's prediction thread, I had us starting at 3-1 (wrong 2-2 though I was scared of IL). Then 2 guaranteed losses to WI and tOSU (duh). Other 6 as coin flips (we went 1-5 in those).  Sheesh.

Looking at this year, the schedule is indeed easier. The problem is Frost doesn't typically win the games he should or the coin flips. And home field has felt largely irrelevant. About the only guaranteed loss I sense is @MI. But I'd probably break it down into 4-4-4 now. 4 highly likely to win (GA Southern, ND, Indy, IL), 4 coin flips (NW, Rutgers, Purdue, MN), 4 highly likely to lose (OU, MI, WI, IA).

A key here is obviously November. Three division foes and the Big House. SF is 1-12 vs those four teams. Ouch.

One would like to think that 6-2 is a feasible goal in the eight coin flip or better games. Eke out at least one win in the toughies? Guess I'm in the kool-aid predicting one more win than last year at 7-5 lol. Not sure Scott makes it through that or not.

What's the criteria for players of the year? Team vote?

Think for offense I'll go Trey Palmer. Defense Reimer. ST Buschini.

  • Huskers take advantage of a favorable schedule and shock the world to win 8 of the first 9 games.  Finish the season by taking 1 of the last 3 games.  Frost gets a lifetime contract.  Husker Euphoria abounds.  Oh, my!
