Well, football is happening in the B1G. Which many likely felt was impossible after the season cancelled notice and “not being revisited”. But the Huskers and Buckeyes fought the good fight and WON! Now they get to face off week one. What a prize for the Huskers!
It’s been bad since 2011 and the Bauserman game. NU has been outscored by an average of 34.5pts. Do road games this season REALLY matter? Maybe a little. Vegas still says 26pts. Martinez starts....does he finish?
Catching the Buckeyes in Game 1 is probably as good as anytime. TomOs says the depth is stockpiled (ing?)? While the QB position is getting there, I don’t see key positions even at solid 2 deep. RB, WR, OL, DL, LB...sigh.

Two days from game day and the questions are, has this program been fixed, improved any, remained the same or fell even further behind. If talk was an reliable indicator, Ohio State will be going down. However, I don't rely on talk. Because once the hitting begins, talk no longer matters. In fact, big talkers usually usually fall to the wayside once the hitting begins and the frustration starts. So far under the latest regime I have not been impressed and our win loss record over the last two years proves my point. The game starts at 11AM and by 11:15 we should have an idea where this program is. It is year three and was supposed to be a NC season. We are already behind three or more games and you know there will be some bugs to work out. OSU 56 and NU 17.

Have to agree with Trashman, the Huskers are ready to play some football, I'm not sure they are ready to play at the level OSU is. Hard fought game that the players will play hard to the end and take lessons learned onto the second week.
