So Crawford nails the Huskers points and is off by just 7 fir Indy. Good enough. LCH comes within 200 peeps to notch his 2nd attendance victory. Congrats to both. On the Pescataway!
Rutgers comes in at 3-2. They won @BC, vs Wagner, @Temple. Lost to IA 27-10 and drilled @tOSU 49-10. Their QB situation is up in the air with a poor-ish offense. 117th in passing offense, 55th in rushing and 98th in scoring. Their defense is decent. 52nd in pass defense, 18th in rushing and 61st in scoring.
We know all about NU's weird season. Our offense is not bad and our defense WAS awful. Versus an Indy team with some important injuries and a renewed fire....they played fresh and swarmy. It was also after a much needed bye week.
Now a short week and a Friday night game. NU at last check was a 3 point favorite...which we wouldn't have thought possible a month ago. Besides NW, one probably couldn't ask for two better break in conference games for a rookie HC. Can Mickey take advantage?
Rutgers is a worse team than Indy. This is on the road, but once again, this type of game is one that is close to "must-win" for the HC's job and any refreshed season goals.
