- Many moons ago I was an usher in the south end zone as a Boy Scout. I'll never forget a play Johnny Rodgers made, catching a pass that was thrown too high right over the middle, him leaping up what seemed to my young eyes 12 feet in the air, and making a spectacular catch. He was really blasted by the defender, stretched out like that, yet he hung on to the ball and made an important first down, if I remember right. It's just a play I'll never forget.
