whats up with sam keller
why is keller sueing ncaa and ea sports cause he cant make money any other way the only reason why he is making a fuss because he was third on the depth chart and his attributes were not good on the 2008 game. the game has been out two years now he is giving huskers a bad name tell me what you think

Comment by Chris on May 24, 2009 at 9:48pm - Usually the player on the cover does get something because it wont break NCAA rules. The reason being is that the player on the cover has long since been drafted by the NFL and therefore already qualifies for compensation under the NFLPA guidelines for uses of a players images in marketing and video games. As far as recent memory, the only player on the cover that wasn't on a NFL roster when the game came out is Jared Zambrowsky of Boise St about 2 years ago (the season after their miracle finish vs OU in the Orange Bowl)

- It's done all the time. I know places where I can find jerseys with numbers and all that you need are a few letters and you can stitch the name on the back. If you ever played the NCAA games, the default is something like QB #8 or whatever. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who that is supposed to be. And if you don't like how they are portrayed, all you have to do is go into edit profile and you can turn said QB #8 into Superman or bench warmer, it's up to the player in control.

- The one thing that has to be realized that in all the games EA could just give us a roster of numbers and we as players can apply the attributes as we see fit. Keller is out for numero uno, himself and since his football career took a nosedive he's trying a different approach to make a quick buck. Personally speaking, Samuel gave me another reason not to like him and cut him from the roster in NCAA 2008.
