Update on wacky Wacky is doing so much better. The right antibiotics have started to kick in and his lungs are starting to clear up a little bit each day. His breathing is improving and he is no longer in critical care. He is now one step down from critical care which has 1 nurse for 2 patients. The step down care has 1 nurse for 3 patients. His goals for the coming days are to continue weaning off the ventilator and trying to breathe for small periods of time on his own. Today was the first time they had him sitting up for any length of time. Physical therapy will continue to do bed exercises with his arms and legs. His kidneys are putting out a small amount of urine, so hopefully in the future he will not have to be on dialysis.
We certainly feel grateful that all our prayers and yours were granted by our Lord. His family wish all of our family and friends a Blessed New Year and health and happiness.
