I'm gonna try and help fallen Nebraska football back on its feet. Firing Frank Zolich was the start of it all. Frank Zolich is a good coach. Bringing in Bill Calahan was crazy, hiring Bo Pelini was just adding insult to injury, Bo Pelini is a terrible coach, although he did recruit some good players, he just didn't know how to coach a team to victory. Hiring Mike Riley over Scott Frost, are you kidding me, Scott Frost is the best QB in Nebraska football history. For the last time stop hiring these outsider coaches that keep ruining Nebraska football and hire Scott Frost as Head coach or at least somebody that played for the Huskers during the Osbourne, Zolich days. Until Then Nebraska Football is looking terrible.

Frank S-O-L-I-C-H. With an 'S'.   Just couldn't let that by. Otherwise, great post!

Suh was not a Palini recruit. I don't think Niles was either. Armstrong was a great recruit? Ok to each his own. Gill ran the option to perfection and was a great passer. The only reason he did not win a NC was the D. More like today's D than the 90's. Frazier was just as good a passer as Frost IMO. I guess I don't see where having a Nebraska tie for a coach makes a difference. Not saying we look at NFL coaches either. Frost was not always treated well and may not really want to be here. Also we would end up with a spread offense, just because Frost played in the option does not mean he would run it. He has coached a speed O for a long time.

look stop letting nfl coaches coach in college football for one thing, another thing Nebraska should hire a coach who played for Nebraska in the past and who knows how to coach, Scott Frost s the best QB in Husker history. Buck4NU your basing your opinion on highlights not stats and facts. Frazier and Crouch were good at running the ball, but not very good at throwing passes or pitching the ball to the RB. Turner Gill a master at pitching the ball , he could throw the ball great, but wasn't the best at running the ball and Huskers never won the national championship with Gill at QB. Scrost could throw the ball halfway decent,  a master at pitching the ball, could run the ball like a champ, and the Huskers won the national championship with Frost at QB. Ferragamo best throwing QB Nebraska ever had. Scott Frost best all around QB ever for Nebraska. Pelini could recruit, he just couldn't coach. Suh, burkehead, niles paul, armstrong, to name a few.

While I agree with many of your statements the one you are completely wrong on is Scott Frost being the best QB in NE History. He is at best 4th and by some may be 5th. Age probably plays a part in this. Scott is 4th in my list. The best all around QB we have ever had is Gill, then Frazier, I would put Farragamo, next then Frost then Tagge. But that is just me. The other statement about Bo recruiting good players is another one I don't agree with. He may have a few he recruited but overall he could not recruit worth a crap.
