Yes, the loss to Wisconsin was incredibly bad; but the loss to GA i fear will be much worse. If we thought the score was bad with that offense Wisconsin had; the worst is yet to come on National TV. I've been a Nebraska fan all my life; and for the first time; I would rather we just forfeit the game with GA and start recruiting for next year. The players absolutely did not play against Wisconsin; but I fault the coaches at not preparing them. I haven't seen a loss this bad for Nebraska; since they lost to Colorado that year Colorado pinned 60+ points on them. Black shirts; I don't think so!!! Right now everyone in the country is laughing at us; it's a dark day for Nebraska football.

Georgia played three ranked teams this year.  Granted they lost a close one to Bama, but South Carolina blew them out by 28 points.  No LSU or Bama in regular season.  I suspect that the 'Huskers will be highly motivated by their showing in the Big Ten Championship game and this being Tom Osborne's last game in an official capacity at Nebraska.  I think the 'Huskers will surprise a lot of people and come away with a big win.  Go Big Red!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boom boom you are correct; that Stanton is a top 150 recruit. However, we need a lot more than just one. I consistently see Alabama, Florida, Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, Florida State, and other teams signing the majority of those top tier athletes. In order for us to compete; we are going to have to improve our recruiting efforts.

Red Kool-Aide, I'm a die hard fan, I don't jump to a winning team; I've always been a Nebraska fan, and as such; I feel that I can call it like I see it. Nebraska is not the same way they were years ago; and like I said before, mediocracy has never been a trait I can settle with. We have to be competitive; even if we lose. I can live with losing by a touchdown or field goal. But to be completely blown out is not acceptable to me. Nebraska had winning seasons under Solich as well; but the program wasn not getting better. Honestly, I respect your opinion and admire your enthusiasm; but I've played football since I was 3; and I've followed Nebraska through ups and downs; so I think something is wrong when we get blown out by Wisconsin and Ohio State for that matter. I find it funny that you speak for Bo and Tom when you say they could give a rats ass about what I think. I'll tell you that if they aren't losing sleep about that loss to Wisconsin; then they Bo definitely should be caring about what I think; because any Athletic Director worth his salt is not going to allow to many of those types of loses to keep occurring.  All I'm saying is that I expect more from this team than a blow out loss. Hell, you should expect more, if you are as big a Nebraska fan as you say! I agree with Tomko, at least we aren't blinded by rose colored glasses thinking that everything is going to be alright against GA. I agree that's why we play the game, but Nebraska should be much better than a 39 point loss to Wisconsin.

I'm not calling for Bo's firing, although I stand by a previous post that if NU were still in the Big 12 this year, he'd be in real trouble and we would not have 9-10 wins.  The goal this year was to win the Big Ten and the path this year could not have been any easier and will never be easier.  At least in the previous Big 12 championship games (and bowl games) NU put up a very respectable fight against a far better Oklahoma and Texas team.  But those were with BC's recruits.  I was really excited to win the conference Saturday, but that performance was beyond pathetic.  Wins against Iowa, Minnesota, and Idaho St. don't make up for that.  I'm sure the team and coaches (at least I hope) are as disappointed as I am as a long time Husker fan.  Pelini himself apologized to the fans and said "we failed."  And no they should not forfeit or decline the bowl game, but if they plan on playing like they did last Saturday (like the defense was either drunk or high or a combination of both), then yes they should!

Tomco, giving up 70 points is not good,no matter where your team is. BO has brought Nebraska back to winning seasons[are they fully back, not by a long shot] He has taken us to a bowl game every year since taking over. I am happy with the wins[not the losses],You cannot fire a coach who wins 9-10- games a year,or you fall back to the Pedarsen/callahan years. No coach of any quality will apply for a job where 9-10 wins are not good enough. So don't be happy with any loss, but stand by your team always, and if changes are to be made, then those who get paid to make those dicisions will make them

Okay, okay.  So giving up 70 points to the third place, five loss team from the other divsion in front of a national TV audience means everything is right on track.  Nothing to see here people, move along now.

Huskerfanatic, you are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine,I doubt that you bleed Husker red,but thats my opinion, also if you have watched football[Nebraska] you would know any thing is possible, especially when one team forgets to show up. Coaches can practice a team all week, but if the kid or kids dondon't show up,it can get ugly. While not being happy or settling for any loss you can enjoy the 10 wins, soon to be 11 and have a great off season or you can spout about changes, that you cannot attain, because believe me Tom nor BO gives a rat ass what you think,so either live with it or go find a team more to your liking

I thought Johnny Stanton was a top 150 recruit?

this team has the talent to beat the bull dawgs but first it has to keep from beating itself

`Red Kool-Aide Drinker, I bleed Nebraska Red, but I'm not living in a fantasy world like you thinking that just because we show up with the red jerseys on calling ourselves the blackshirts that we are going to win the game. How in the world do we allow a mediocre Wisconsin team run up 70 points in a conference Championship game? I think you've drank so much red kool-aide that it's affected your common sense. Anybody that knows anything about football, can see that our talent level is not up to par with some of these other higher ranked teams. It starts with recruiting; and we are doing a piss poor job of recruiting. I'm looking at the 150 top recruits for next year; and I don't see any committing to Nebraska? So you tell me; how in the hell are we going to compete with these schools that are bringing in these high level recruits. Nobody is crying; I just want us to be competitive and we are not right now; so keep living in the past. Although your expectations may be to only go to a bowl game; mine are to win a National Championship; and we are not there or even close to that right now!!

WAAAAAAAAA WAAAAAAAAAAAAA WAAAAAAAAAAAA,guess what that is....Nebraska cry baby, who can't be happy that we have a coach who has gone to a bowl game all five years, and brought the Huskers back from the abyss of the Pederson/callahan days
