Well, sadly the offense looked similar tonight vs. Missouri as they did the previous week against Virginia Tech.. Looking at the stats the thing that is surprising to me is that Ganz' #'s really are fairly decent, despite some more than questionable decisions. The depressing thing is that our O-line looks like they could get blown backwards by a 10mph breeze. Until they can get a stable running game going averaging at least 4.5 yard per carry, we are going to either struggle or get dominated by the explosive offenses of many of our opponents. Also, wouldn't be interesting to see if we could stretch out a defense by sending Niles Paul or Guilleylen deep?
Cleaning up the penalties is also crucial. How many drives or little sparks of momentum were extinguished by a yellow flag? The most frustrating thing is that we CAN actually play competitively with most of our opponents, but we keep beating ourselves by mental mistakes.
Hopefully, the rest of the season things improve. No matter what...in the end, we all bleed RED.
