I am very stressed by the current coaching search because it is so important that we get it right this time. We cannot survive another botched selection. Living in North Carolina, I really feel we could not go wrong with Jim Grobe. No coach has done more with less talent than Grobe on an annual basis. However, I am still leaning towards Bo because I know he would bring intensity that has been missing for 4 years.

Anyone else out there drinking heavily to cope?

You are correct on all accounts.

Ha! Ha! You make me laugh! I believe it will probably be announced next week. I am leaning to believe like a lot of other people are believing.... that Dr Tom is waiting until the end of Pelini's season to announce.
And I agree with you, Pelini was able to get our guys fired up, to go out there and play with intensity. Hope he watches that temper because that will get him in just as much trouble around here. TO was the only person that was going to be able to bring the fans back around, plus the boosters etc.... They can't afford to lose the fan base again.

Bo was showing the kind of emotion needed from a leader. All his players know they could follow him into battle and he would fight for them. When things got tough, Callaham would be on the sideline squating down, looking at his play book. Dazed!

I think Paul Johnson should be interviewed as well. However, there are not many better coaches out there than Grobe! I have gone to several Wake games in the last few years living here in NC, including this years game with the Huskers. His offense is crazy and the players play with intensity. It was clear to me that we had better talent than Wake and just as clear they were a better team - with less talent.

I just hope this gets over quickly. I can't sleep nights!

Bo would be great but... I just haven't gotten past him drawing that penalty for yelling. I am so used the class that TO has always showed. Callahan did carry himself well at all times. (Even if it was to tell us that he was doing a good job in all areas.)

I went to the Wake Forest/Nebr game on Sept 8th.
We won. One of the few we won this season.
Grobe's team nearly pulled out a win in the fourth
quarter except for a bad call in our favor.
I really wish Paul Johnson could we interviewed
as well. I don't see a downside to his resume
other than the asst coaches that might be
overlooked.

With the current talent we have, which is good, Bo would create the atmosphere needed to take them to the next level. Based on all the recruiting classes in the past few years, I think he comes in and goes 9-3. He might not win 10, but each team we play will not be able to walk on Sunday. However, anything is an improvement over the passive crap we have seen - especially on defense this year.

any word on Jeff Bowers? I think Bo would also add what we have been missing. I am tired of watching the games with a bag on my head.
