No joke the Refs were favoring Texas a&m against the Huskers and that is not right. I am glad the Huskers are going to the Big Ten next year, cause hopefully there will be better officiating. I watched the whole a&m Husker match and that time when the Ref called pass interference on a&m and then picked the flag up that proved to me the Refs were heavily favoring A&M. That call was borderline pass interference, but what about the pull on the huskers wr jersey at the end, that… Continue

Dear Fellow Husker fans,
I had to take a extra day before posting this week for good reason. I didn't want what I must admit to being a harsh and just hate filled critique of this past week. Was there ugliness in terms of the calls Saturday night? Yes. Was there other ugliness that were not ref related that could have, perhaps should have been avoided? Yes. Is there ugliness flying around here with what has been said in the forums and in other blog post? Yes.
Guys and gals, I… Continue

To A&M and NU fans-
As a lifelong NU fan I am extremely disheartened by what I witnessed last night. Not because of the officiating, but because of the behavior of our coach. Growing up in Lincoln I attended NU's games with my grandfather. Tom Osborne was our coach and our program was a model of sportmanship and class. For many years we weren't a championship caliber team, but we were always the "good guys". Please don't laugh, but instead allow me to explain. Coaches like… Continue

Dear Fellow Husker fans,
This past weekend you can look at the game and see some good and some bad. The good is that the Blackshirts dominated KU's offense all day long. The bad is, stop me if this sounds like a broken record, the offense's inability to get on track and just dominate a game for 4 quarters. I have talked on ESPN.com for every game so far this year and to be quite honest, it disgusts me that the same thing comes up offensively. Fact is, I believe this offense is still a… Continue

Dear Fellow Husker Fans,
All sports are a game of inches. In basketball Paul Pierce hit a free throw where the ball hit back iron, went straight up, and then through the hoop to help the Celtics win the NBA title. Kenny Calhoun with just a fingertip tipped away a 2 point conversion pass to help Miami seal a NC during the 83-84 season. Matt Davison scooped a pass just above the Farout Field grass in helping NU win a epic battle against Mizzou in 97. And then this year, a two point… Continue

yes this game closer than people predicted give isu credit for pushing us to be a better team when our QB was out and third string QB in and rex running the offense most of the game we stood tall and did what we had to do to survive yes we had fumbles and penalties that did not help and defense gave up plays because they ran hurry up offense alot but both sides hung in there got us to overtime and prevailed none the less thats what makes a good team helping each other out not pointing fingers… Continue

Dear Fellow Husker fans,
How's the week going so far? Anybody else getting nervous about this weekend's to do against ISU in Ames? I know I am a tad. You wonder if this could be a iffy game, coming before a show down against A&M in College Station (still a tough team, no matter what the record). But before that, we have to discuss last weekend against Mizzou.
Mizzou, what to say about Mizzou. If Oklahoma is the brother who's butt you want to kick every year, Mizzou is the… Continue

Well Husker brothers and sisters, 103 meetings between the Huskers and the Mizzou Tigers, which started in 1892 and ended on October 30, 2010, is now history. The object of the rivalry was to rip the living breathing heart out of the opponent, hold it in front of their eyes, and stomp on it, to diminish any thoughts of a Big 8, Big XII, or National Championship ....The Huskers did this to Mizzou over 60 percent of the time in the series, and each time, received the Victory Bell for their… Continue
