The Huskers put on a great show against Illinois and continue to remind Nebraska fans of old times. Power ground game, eating up yards and clock that frustrated the Illini. The Huskers pretty much took the game away from Illinois by keeping their offense on the sideline. This team continues to look like the mid 90's Osborne led teams that kept it close until the fourth quarter and then demoralized their opponents with nose to nose hard core smash mouth football.
So, another win…

The Nike Ducks knew they were going to get a fight in Lincoln and the Huskers did not disappoint them. But not only did they get more than they could handle, they may have been a part of a major step forward in the Mike Riley era or more appropriately put, the Post Tom Osborne Era.
Oregon came right after the Huskers and started out like many in Huskerland expected. Royce Freeman looked to be everything he was advertised to be. Fast, powerful, and confident; a guy who…

I never really understood how the Ducks got so good over the years to be honest. I remember a joke I read in Sports Illustrated a few months after legendary coach Bear Bryant died. It went like this: Why did Coach Bryants wife want her husband buried somewhere between Corvallis and Eugene Oregon? Answer: She wanted him to be as far away from College Football as possible. Now we are playing one of those teams (and probably will be the underdog) with a coach we got from the…

No I am not nor have I ever been related to Bo. I am a displaced Nebraskan (born and bred). I am not happy at all with our new coach. I know there will never be another Tom, but really Bo was not all that bad and at this point I'd take back Frank.
Yep, this is my site. I've been working on it for the last couple of months, it has been online since the end of August. Thanks for your kind words - it feels good to have spent so much time on something and have others (husker fans!) appreciate it.
It has grown steadily since it's launched, and has seen a surge since it made the news (there's a link on the home page to the news video that aired last Friday). Along with the surge in members, there has also been an increase in Husker blogs and discussions (which is what my aim has been!).
Thanks again for your input and responses to the discussions, and feel free to start your own forum discussions and Husker blog posts. These discussions are going to keep HuskerSpot alive and active!
Let me tell you about the groups feature, too! Say for instance you start a "Washingtonians for Nebraskans" group. This is an excellent way for all of the Husker fans from Washington to stay in touch. Once the group is started, you can send messages to the whole group with just one click. I think this would be perfect if there was a Husker "watch party" and you wanted to invite everyone to your favorite Husker bar (or wherever), you could simply write one message and have it sent to all members of that group. Nifty, eh?!!
Thanks again for your support and I'll see ya around on HuskerSpot! Go Big Red!
