Strong teams have a strong defense first. Perhaps this defense is on the right track now that the players have turned in their blackshirts. It must have hurt to turn those back in. It shows they have an understanding of the tradition, the blackshirts dictated. To me it says this group of men are on the right track to improving. To earning their blackshirts back. Will it happen this year, there is not much time left, but I think the talent is there. The only question I have is the desire there.

Nebraskas less than desireable performance by the defense? Coaching? Sure seems the players(who I believe are fairly talented) are not playing up to the level they are capable of.

Constant problems with the time clock causing numerous penalties. Coaching.

Perhaps, they need to simplify things so the players can play.
