So it appears we have settled into a 17pt favorite for the Buckeyes. Wow. I have to think that's close or takes the cake as the all-time highest all time underdog number for our beloved Huskers.

Fields is proving to be a very good player. Through 4 games he has 880yds passing with 13TDs and 0 INTs. He's also ran for 150yds and another 6 TDs. Nearly 5 TD per game average. Now....have they played anybody??  FAU, Indy and Miami, OH are not very good teams. Cincinnati is 3-1 (with a win over UCLA) but was severely over-matched.

For the Huskers, AMart finally showed some things we hoped to see all year vs IL. Throwing and running the ball well. For the season he's thrown for 1052yds with 7TDs and 2 INTs. He's also ran for 234yds and 3 TDs with 3 fumbles....which is a concern. The competition has also been fairly average with NU losing to a sub-par team in CU. Is this type of play behind them?

I'm not convinced our defense is "great". I think it's average....at best. They do force more turnovers which is what SF and the boys want. I don't see ANY way we hold them to less than 30pts. And I'm not so sure we can keep them under 40pts. Which is likely what needs to happen to win this one.

Gameday will be here with Corso saying ridiculous things and making poor predictions. However, it should be quite the scene with Rick Ross performing Friday night at Pinnacle after Hoiberg's guys scrimmage a little. Then the Gameday crew opening the doors at 5:30am with live cut-ins prior on ESPN. Then that circus. Then some serious tailgating for about 7 hours for some before a nigh kickoff in front of A LOT of recruits. Sheesh what a day.

Pretty big spectacle. My typical week of feelings. Go from "no chance to win" to "maybe we can hang around a bit" to "could somehow pull the upset if things go right (duh)". In the end I just don't foresee a victory. I feel like their WRs are too much for our back end. Fields is mobile and can create running or throwing. Young will be very disruptive and perhaps unblockable at times for our OL. Our inept kicking game forces unorthodox decision making at times when perhaps a FG is something that is much needed after a significant drive. I do hope we can keep it interesting and not have our doors blown off. Not sure the fan base can take too much more of that lol.

Not even close Trash, you must of forgot the Callahan era?  His Husker team were 29 point under dogs to Oklahoma in 2004.....but That team showed Vegas what they knew.....they only lost by 27 that day.

This game will be closer than the Callahan led Huskers.  This team will fight and claw to the end, but it will be another moral victory

Ah yes. How could I forget? Very good team. Undefeated until the thrashing of USC. Jason White and Adrian Peterson. AP should have won the Heisman as a freshman but I think they stole too many votes from each other. Which handed it to Leinart.

This OSU team may not be that far off of that crew. I do think they are a playoff talented team. Fields-Dobbins a great duo.

Well there is only one way we can win this game..(in my mind)... pretty basic.. we hit harder then they have been hit all year..I guess that means  more physical then they are... I remember one play last year that set the tone for us.. when JoJo smacked Haskins.. the game turned from there on..Jojo/Honas,Barry.. someone needs to send a message to Fields. Otherwise I see this happening...

No long winded prediction. Wi don't think we have the horses yet but may keep it close.

The only glimmer for hope comes from the fact that OSU has not play d anybody yet.  But then neither have we.  Our continued propensity for turnovers is a major concern also.

hopefully we can at least beat the spread

35 24. OSU

The Huskers nearly pulled off the upset last year....only losing by 5 points in SF's first year at the helm.  After consulting the Ouija Board and the Magic 8 Ball....there is an upset brewing this year at home.  Irrational exhuberance actually prevails.  The Big Red wins by field goal.  Fans tear down the goalposts and mayhem ensues with celebrations into the wee hours.

I'm making a gameday sign that reads: GO BIG RED- LICK THE BUCKNUTS    so watch for me

the D and return game have been pleasant surprizes but the O has been inconsistent and we still don't have a kicker

tOSU is a pretty good team on both sides of the ball
