So Who Told you that BO SUCKS?

Are we ready to admit that Bo Pelini DOES NOT have what it takes to turn this program around? Are we done drinking the BO KOOL AID? Are we ready to RETIRE our over-the-hill Athletic Director? Are you folks FINALLY going to listen to what I have been saying all along? Is this program headed in a new direction? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Could we beat NW Missouri State if we played them next week? Let's be honest here..... 7 fumbles (5 lost) and 3 picks at home vs. IOWA STATE???

    • I was listening to Rivals Radio this morning and I have to agree with host Bill King when he says that Power Football is what Nebraska is known for and is what we should get back to - we can win in today's environment with a running offense as long as we have a solid defense that we have now - it fits the image, it fits the climate of Lincoln and the mid-west, and most of all it fits the pool of talent that we seem to be able to land year after year - who cares if it is not "sexy" - it works!!! LETS GET BACK TO IT!!!

Chad - Would you rather have Bo Pelini as your HC or Kirk Ferentz?

      • Absolutely not....I'd never consider living in Lincoln!

I've never had a city in Alaska named after me!

But Chuck Fairbanks was one helluva coach!
    • Amen to that Chad. It has been this way since Callahan came in. He tried to fit a square peg in a round hole and it hasn't worked. Run an offense that is geared towards the talent on the field.
  • You know Tom, you say that the game has passed TO by, but to look at Florida today, they are basically running a TO offense and they are winning. You know, QB keeps the ball, QB hands the ball to RB and every once in a while the QB throws out of necessity. Man, if Tebow were as good as Tommy Frazier, they might even be a great team running that dinosaur of an offense dressed in new clothes called the shotgun. No matter how you try to spin it, it's still the same basic principle.
  • Tom, my "friend", I am going to try to speak to the inner logical mind I think you might have, are you crazy?

You say get rid of everybody from the AD on down. Were you even watching football between 2004-2007? Do you have the slightest remembrance of what the lost era was like? Do you have any answers for the problems or you just going to be like Congress, show the world what is wrong and do nothing about it.

Ok, say they do everything you say and let's go down the list, I need some candidates for replacements.

Fire TO as the AD. Who is the replacement, Trev Alberts, Tommie Frazier (another Tom for you), maybe Dave Rimington or Dean Steinkular, who has the job? Tell me.

Fire Bo, and remember, the rest of the staff is more than likley to go with him. Who do you replace them with? Who out there in the vast universe of college football do you get as coach and assistants? Turner Gill, I think he's not ready for the big time gig yet. Do you go outside the family and if so who?

Come on dude, we all know you've been a Husker hater since the beginning of the WBC era. GO and have some jungle juice with Timmy Tebow in Florida and let us solution based people talk things out, support our team, and cheer them on as they continue the great fight. Look at it this way, they aren';t laying over and playing dead like they did in the last year of the lost era.
    • You say get rid of everybody from the AD on down.

      Yes, I do.

TO needs to retire and Bo needs to a program that can tolerate his low IQ.

It truly amazes me that you can't think any further than the "Husker Family" when considering replacements...you are stuck so deeply in the "box" that it is laughable.

I don't give a rat's ass if the AD or HC have Nebraska roots.

      "Retro" is our problem.

There are lots of terrific coaches out there....we simply didn't get one.

KSU grad Gary Patterson (TCU), Brian Kelly (Cincinnati) or Chris Peterson (Boise State) are "no brainers" just to name a few!

How about Miami Hurricanes OC, Mark Whipple?

Let somebody else have Turner Gill.

Regretfully, the Athletic Dept has not been the same since we lost Bill Byrne.

Maybe we can do a world-wide search and hire Ron Zook? LOL!
  • Were you a Steve P. fan? Taking the program in a new direction sounds like it was from Steve's resume. Been there done that. Give it a rest Tom and support our staff. Do you have a better choice for AD and head coach?

      • Tom has never had any respect for Bo as a coach.

Tom had respect for Tom Osborne until he sold out, recruiting bad character student(?)/athletes in order to win a few MNCs in the twilight of his coaching career.

Tom will never understand why Tom Osborne couldn't get elected as the Gov. of Nebraska...he'd have made a much better Gov. then he is AD.

Tom sees a once proud program adrift amongst the mediocre...with no end is sight.

For all the "rah, rah, rah" here, I don't see any results sans Joe Ganz.
        • So who is the answer for our program?
      • LOL
