As we begin a new season and under the direction of the 3rd year coach , what are your thoughts on the Program overall, is it in a better place than 10 years ago,? 5 years,ago.  What do you think still needs to happen?

    Lang's is as important as Riley, actually. Must keep Lang's.

    Riley is the man for the job. Need mo better players, then just win baby.

    Ha! Great topic! This should get some discussion going. Those who support Riley and those who don't. I remember arguing wit one 3 games in to Mike Riley's first season. They couldn't understand why I didn't want Riley fired. Lol, I think the program is on the cusp of being very good. Finally we have a Head Coach who is running the Huskers like a program. We finally have depth at QB, and I would say overall depth is much better. Remember when Mike first got here there was only 5 LBers on Scholarship? We had walkons started at DE. Oh yeah and for the last 5 years walkons as backups at QB. How is that possible? A major Division 1 school and the backup QB is a walkon? Good Bless R Kellogg and Ryker, but that's poor management. If we're going to complete against the likes of tOSU and Michigan it's going to take talent and development of that talent.

    Mike understands where college football is at these days. Not only do you have to have great coaches you have to have great recruiters. A staff of Admin personel behind the scenes, working to find an edge aka Friday Nights. GBR!
