After a five-game home stand to begin the 2013 season, the Big Red finally pack their bags and get on the road to Indiana. It does not appear that there will be great competition as Nebraska encounters a Boilermaker team that is the mirror opposite in record at 1-4. Most in West Lafayette certainly wonder where wins will be found this season, even with 7 returning starters on offense and 8 on defense. A win for first year head coach Darrell Hazell is not likely against the Cornhuskers.
Purdue will have had a bye week to prepare for the arrival of Nebraska, but it will not help. Look for a young and inexperienced Blackshirt defense to be more than enough against this Purdue offense with limited talent. If the Blackshirts could rattle a tried and tested Scheelhasse, how much more will they give happy feet to freshman QB Danny Etling? Add the potency of a Husker offense with TA, Ameer, Bell, Enunwa and friends, and the game should only be close at the opening kickoff.

Clever. Yes, NU is winless against the Purdue. Our record against the Boilermakers is 0-1. The last and only game was 1958. The score was 28-0.

No doubt this might be as easy as it gets. The boys of the Corn will grow in this game like the ones previous, but will it be enough? NW, Meatchicken n Sparty are all staring us down. There's at least one win in there....hopefully two. MN & IA should be wins also, but ya never know. This is a strange season.
