Our offense sucks!

Been goin backwards since the Mizzou game.  That's pretty much it.  What to look forward to for next year?  A good defense and a new punter that gets plenty of playing time...

 

Let's see what happens in half number two.

    As far as i can tell Coach Pelini hasn't recruited "any good receivers" or "no mashing running back" either.

    I will reiterate. Barney Cotton is the man responsible for the Offensive line. Our linemen played like a bunch of dancing ballerina's in tutu's. The mighty Huskies 3 man defense poured in faster than cheap draft beer and made Taylor and Roy disappear faster than turds in a power flush toilet. Glad we didn't have a rematch with South Dakota State Fighting Jackrabbits, they would have pounded us their baby blue and yellow colors.  The Big Ten is looking really scary, Tennesse? maybe, Fresno State? ...not so sure now, Wyoming? maybe, Washington? they just showed us who's boss. Even though we had a statistically good defense, it never looked scary, it was always prevent the big pass play.  We have not had a smothering defense all year. Jake was not scared at all tonight. He knew our guys just stand up and prevent a big run and about 3 seconds to throw but no blind side blitz is ever coming, no over whelming blitz. He knew he would have 3 seconds to throw and then look for the crease to run and he could always find something. Hope little Pelini can find something more stressful next season for opposing quarterbacks because it looked like every one was figuring out our defense as much as our offense. Where's that sign of the Texas cheerleader that says "WE SUCK!".

    There are definitely some problems Bo is going to have to solve.  Offense.  Quarterback.  Two important ones.  I am all for Taylor Martinez transferring.  He is just not a Husker.  Plays for himself and has the arm of a girl.  He is fast afoot but I don't like much else of what I have seen of him.  I was screaming at the tv to put Zack Lee in but of course that didn't happen....probably because he didn't get many snaps in practice.

      I think Lee is hurt.  I'm not defending Martinez, but Tom Brady would not have done much with the way the offensive line played last night.  Plus Kinnie is our only real receiver.  Paul is a time bomb, and last night he was an unhealthy time bomb.  McNeill is a TE playing receiver.  I don't think the Watson interviews (Vandy and M of O) really helped with preparation.

          No, I know.  This "multiple" shit is garbage.  Instead of running one type of offense good, we are running several offenses crappy.  Lots of problems going into the off season.  Lots of decisions to be made...

    At the end of last year's Holiday Bowl, Pelini said Nebraska is back and here to stay.  At the end of this one, he should be saying Nebraska is "backwards" and here to stay.
