So round 2 versus the Puffs. The spread has dropped from a preseason of NU by 9.5 to 7.5 as an opening line. It's settled into the 4 range after all the degenerates got their bets in. So what do we expect?
In the opener the defense was decent vs a Sun Belt team and the offense was definitely offensive. But at least we got to play it!
This game makes me nervous. The Jags QB has nowhere near the ability of Montez and there's no WR in the nation much better than Shenault. While the defense made some plays, there were A LOT of drops by the USA WR's as well. I like that the defense has some confidence but is it enough to carry them through if things get a little awry?
Word is AMart and the whole gang practiced "way better" the last few days and USA was a wake-up call. All of the comments are exactly what one would expect to hear following the last showing. Is it the real deal?
The Prophet's feel is that the tide will change a tad. The defense goes a little south and the offense finds it's groove with Washington getting more snaps. The spread makes zero sense to me as I can't figure out why CU is not favored but at least 1. It still feels like a "preseason hype" type line. I believed we would win this game prior to the season....so I'll stick with it. Reluctantly. My gut is trying hard to go the opposite way but:
NU 38
CU 36
