Nebraska-Wisconsin replaces NU-Colorado ???

I just copied and pasted this from a Facebook group.  I'm not on Twitter so I can't verify, although Coach Bielema's younger cousin is on my sand volleyball team here in Chicago.  I'll be sure to ask him.

Nebraska to the Big 10 Conference Wisonsin Head Coach, Bret Bielema, just posted this on Twitter, "I contacted the Big 10 office about hopefully scheduling Nebraska as a last game rival on a yearly basis. Possible starting a trophy game." What you you guys think of that?

Your thoughts???  What would the trophy be?  They already have Paul Bunyon's Ax for Wisconsin-Minnesota.  I'm thinking maybe a sledge hammer...

    • Agreed, Daemon. And I'm not dissing on Wisconsin either. Camp Randall is a mad house and they played good football there. In fact, if memory serves me hear, I think the last time we were there, we lost.

I just think that Iowa, being the same caliber of opponent and being closer to us geographically would be the best game to have Thanksgiving weekend. Oh, and they wear Black and Yellow.
  • Why is it everyone in the world wants a piece of us as a rivalry. How long have they been at it in the Big Ten and now We come and all you want is that. First you better step it up a notch if you want a Rivalry we haven't had one since they started the Big Twelve. Our last REAL rivals were the Sooner s Not the Buffs.< LMAO at that. What is gonna happen is we are gonna RUN rough SHOD on the Big Ten and all this is going to do is bring our WALK ON PROGRAM back to what it was with OSBORN let me re-pete that OUR WALK ON Program. Our D backs will do great in this league picking off the ball. I look forward to our new home and the Journey we are about to embark on.
  • speaking about trophies from Rivalries . . . do we get to keep the Missouri/Nebraska bell and any other rivalry trophies that we have?
