The prevailing thought is that Martinez will play. Can he make it through the game? Is his scrambling/playmaking advantage near 100%? Tough to know. But I have a hard time believing NU should be underdogs by this number by anyone not named Bama, Clemson, GA or tOSU. The 0-2 record is a tad misguided with simple “execution” making this team an easy 2-0 and more like a 7pt dog. There is potential for upset here if it’s a clean game for once.....

There are many plays that can make a difference... NU easily could be 2-0, but two plays stand out, dropped pass in end zone against CU, Cam Taylor tackles the punt returner. There are a few other, but the difference for NU to win or lose is razor thin.

NU defense is currently ranked 19th in the nation. #2 in nation with sacks, averaging 5 per game.
NU is 18th in nation running the ball @ 258 yds per game. Mee-She-gun is 37th in defending the run.
If Cleveland can win (which they did on Monday) so can the Huskers, who are 18 pt underdogs.
But it will not be so. Close game. Take the points.
