Sorry All...I spent last weekend in New Orleans and did not have time to throw out a prediction. I think last week was a wake up call for the Offense and the need to protect Tanner Lee. With HUGE question marks at Right Tackle the other boys on the line better be ready to communicate and get nasy against a Rutgers team that is strong up front and likes to shift it's linebackers around to cause confusion.

Offense: Lee has taken so many shots in the last few weeks his Mama woke up sore the next morning. The O line is focused on doing a better job of giving Lee time to make smart and accurate throws in order to move the ball and open up the run game. Whoever steps in on the right side is going to have to be ready to play their heart out on Saturday to keep lee clean. If Tre Bryant isn't ready to go expect Wilbon to provide a spark toting the ball early and I pray to god we see an Ozigbo siting. Ozigbo has always been solid when he gets a chance to carry and he is foaming at the mouth to prove the coaches wrong and to show Husker Nation that he should be the #1. DPE and Morgan are going to have big games and Spielman is will have a big return early to set the tone for the game.

Defense: The Blackshirts have looked pretty solid and are starting to get more comfortable with the new system. The Davis twins are going to wreak havoc against the Rutgers O-line and will force at least one fumble. Jackson will be a pass break up machine and will have a pick six in the second half. The D won't pitch a shutout, but will keep the score low with several three and outs.

Cornhuskers - 48

Silly English Knights - 17

Huskers don't have a prayer...which is fine because prayer doesn't work anyway.

I can see no reason why NE will win this game and no reason why they would lose either, soooo:

Uhhhh, predicting the Huskers has proven difficult. They are 1-2 vs the spread. On the season vs the spread and O/U They've gone Loss/Over, Win/Over, Loss/Under. So what's left??? A Win/Under of course! The defense should play decent against a fairly poor offense. Rutgers has a decent DL. We SHOULD be able to score in the 20s at home if WA scored 30 at Rutgers. Let's face it, if they can't win this game then the season is lost. And full on search/housecleaning commences. Sigh.

need a win today

Rutgers 17

the wind has picked up dramatically since I posted this prediction

I'll stick by it but wouldn't be surprised by a lower score

Looks  like LCH and Trashman were the closest - off by 4 points each, I was next- off by 5.

I was off by 6
