After a long and boring winter and spring the prognosticator of prognosticators has returned to WOW all with his abilit to see into the future and tell what will happen as the Huskers season gets underway. I decided to take last week off to hone my abilities to give a solid prediction for this weeks matchup against the Cowboys. As some of you may know I spent several years of my life living in the greater Wyoming area and have been looking forward to this matchup with some enthusiasm.
Offense: Last week we got a good look at the Huskers run game which was running on all cylinders and looked as punishing as it was during the bowl victory against UCLA. As I anticipated the Offense was very vanilla last week and I expect to see a whole lot more from our outstanding receivers this week as Riley is going to want to know what he has before the Ducks head to towm. Touchdown Tommy is going to keep the INTs ar zero this week as he will spread the ball around on short passes to West, Reiley, and Moore. My main man Louisianna Smooth Cethan Carter is going to get into the mix and will have a late TD in the 2nd quarter. Devin "I don't need a nickname" Ozigbo is going to punsish Cowboy defenders and Newby and Bryant will be slashing down the field for big runs. Tommy will take on in on his own and Westerstache will also see the endzone. Gates and the Big Boys up front are going to wear out the Cowboys before the end of the 3rd and the flood gates will open.
Defense: Sad to hear Big Mick will be out for a while, but I am excited to see the Davis boys get some more snaps as both are NFL prospects and this will be great experience for them. Watch out for the Texas Tornado Josh Kalu to be blitzing off the corner and Captain Gerry to be laying out receivers in the secondary. Lamar Jackson will have his first career INT that will be followed by a big return and a huge Blackshirt celebration. Young will force a fumble and the Huskers will win the turnover battle.
Huskers - 45
Cowboys - 17 (late TD against the back-ups)
Fearless Prediction: Gerry gets flagged for trgeting, but is not ejected after the officials realize its a tackle football game. Handlebar Dzuris will have a sack and will curl his stache with the QBs blood and Tre Bryant will have another TD (This kid is legit)
Pride of the Great Plains Cornhuskers - 45
Buckin' Bronco Busters from Out West - 24
I'm anxious to see if ref's flag Nate Gerry for being too fast for them to see him again.
Also will get to see how our defense stacks up against a tough running team. Sort of a prep for Wisconsin maybe?
GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!
