  • good for them but that doesn't tell me anything.  How many other teams can say the same thing?  Nebraska's program used to see five or six players drafted or more.  So, having only two is what recruits see when they are making up their mind on where to attend college.  We are slipping into mediocrity.

  • Very good question Flanker. I have a reply

of the 17 graduating Huskers (with any playing experience at all) only 2 were drafted: Rex Burkhead (Bengals) and Daimian Stafford ( Titans)

but 6 others were undrafted and signed : Ben Cotton (Chargers), Kyler Reed (Jaguars) Will Compton (Redskins) Eric Martin (Saints) Baker Steinkuhler (Texans) and Brett Maher (Jets)

thats all of the starters but Seung Hoon Choi, Cameron Merideth, PJ Smith and Sean Fisher (med school)

So I guess if you throw out Sean Fisher (med school) as not wanting an invitation from the NFL thats 8/16 made NFL teams. a paultry 50% of the graduating class of 2012

yes we have fallen on hard times indeed ;-)
