Nebraska fans have been waiting the past three years for Turner to finally become the player everyone thought he could be when he broke onto the scene as a true freshman, and this season will be his final chance to do it. There's no denying that 2013 was an absolute disappointment for Turner, and he was only targeted one time in the final six games (which was a dropped touchdown). Still, Turner remains one of the most dynamic playmakers on the offense when he's on his game, and the hope is he can finally live up to his potential in his last year as a Husker. |

It's taken Santos a few years to finally find his home in Nebraska's linebacker rotation, but it looks like he's finally settled in at the BUCK position coming out of spring practice. With solid blend of strength and speed, Santos gives the Huskers a much more versatile weapon at the BUCK than in years past and could also work in with NU's nickel package. Though he struggled at times trying to fully grasp the mental side of the MIKE spot and the coverage responsibilities of the WILL, Santos should come into his own even more this season. |

Newby made the most out of his decision to pass up a redshirt season last year and play right away as a true freshman, as he finished third on the team in rushing while also emerging as one of Nebraska's top kickoff returners. The Huskers' backfield will be even more crowded in 2014 with Newby, Imani Cross and Adam Taylor all competing for time behind Ameer Abdullah. But Newby showed he was much more than just a speed back over the course of last season and on through spring practice, and he should get plenty more opportunities to make his case in NU's offense. |

One of the top backups up at guard to begin 2013, Moudy was thrust into the starting lineup when Spencer Long was lost for the season to injury. His season was cut short when he suffered a shoulder injury in mid-November and missed the final four games of the year, including the bowl game. Moudy was then held out of contact drills during spring ball, but assuming he makes a full recovery, he should be a top contender for the starting right guard spot come fall camp. |

When Rose announced his decision to transfer to Nebraska from Auburn prior to the 2012 season, many heralded the former four-star Rivals100 prospect as the Huskers' shutdown cornerback of the future. After redshirting his first year in Lincoln, Rose was never able to establish himself in NU's corner rotation and only saw spot playing time on defense. Based on his play this spring, though, it looks to be a completely different story this season. Rose should be in the starting lineup come the season opener, and he has an excellent chance to stay there for the next two years if he can live up to his potential. |
