Of course a game hasn't been played under Coach Frost. It would be crazy to predict how he does? However there are some folks you never bet against when they are in their prime. The Birds, Magic, Michael, Brady, Bellicheck, Osborne, Devaney, Switzer, Bud Wilkerson, Tiger, Ali, Tommy, etc.. You know who these folks are, everyone knows. They are the top .1% for one reason or another.
Well we just landed one of these types as our coach. What he did in the last month along with the last two years of coaching is unprecedented. We know this guy, watched him play. He has a fire in his belly and an intellect to go with it that sets him apart and explains the miraculous 0-12 to 13-0 in two seasons. He's a field general, like TO, who is in the game and calling the plays and as fierce a competitor as you could find. While at the same time he has the special quality small town Nebraska kids have of lifting those around him, empowering his players and making hard work fun.
Incredible turn of events to set us skyrocketing out of the depths of gradual decline, embarrassment and mediocrity.
We know the effort, passion and drive Coach Frosts brings to the table to rebuild his beloved Huskers. Coach Frost won't be satisfied until he has a string of conference championships, followed by some NC's. Remember Coach Frost gets it done as he's proven as a player and now a coach.
Yeah, we shouldn't expect overnight success but at the same time shouldn't be surprised if it happens quickly under Coach Frost. He's already established himself as a coaching legend for what he's done in 2 years and the last 2 months. Hell he was the coach of two teams at the same time and earned every award a coach can get. While at the same time saying it was the players and not him.
Put on your sunglasses Husker brethren. We've been in a dark hole for sometime and when Coach Frost leads the rebirth of a great, great program it's going to get very bright and in a hurry I believe.
