Husker Basketball....We're 12-2 going into the Big XII schedule
I've always wished that our men's basketball teams were a consistant top 25 program throughout our years in the Big 8/Big XII.....Are we contenders or pretenders this year ? Replies to This Discussion

We are pretenders. We haven't won an outright conference championship in Men's Basketball since winning the Big 6 in 1915-16. 95 years and counting! LOL!

top 25? definitely Pretenders. If we could make the tournament on a somewhat decent basis I would be ecstatic. Hoping we make it this year but way too early to tell anything.

Very impressive loss yesterday to Kansas. Even though we didn't pull it out, it gives some hope that maybe we can make a tournament this year. Next 3 games should tell us a lot.
