I like Rex, but we need a solid 1-2 punch at RB and can't have him carry the entire load. Many of the top programs have 2 guys in the mix (Alabama, Oregon, and LSU, which plays up to 3 backs if I'm not mistaken).
Seems like Abdullah was the solid number 2 guy last season, but with Heard moving over, that means Abdullah and Green will battle it out for that number 2 spot. I feel that currently we have the best talent at back-up RB since the old days, but for some reason, we did not use it much last season.

Bye, bye Green.
Been out a little while so I'm catching up. I sure hope you're right about Heard. I still don't like the way the RB situation was managed here. With his talent and potential, Green should have been redshirted. Oh well...there is still plenty of depth with a solid 3-deep at the position, but now there is more pressure to recruit a RB again for the next class. You have to start thinking of life after Rex and I don't see Abdullah being a 35-38 carry back.
One thing here is certain....Heard's experiment with DB is now officially over!!!
