Charger, if you reply to the forum it also posts in the left side of the main page. Wierd.
It may seem a little harsh but i really think that Carl moving on to a HC job & Cory Raymond moving on is huge. And if anyone picked up on Bo's comments the other day about the 2 new guys should make one feel better.

I was a reader on LSJ, but never commented until now. I want to support your effort to help get this new group rolling.
Yes, Bo needs to let the kids play upfield and be more aggressive. It helps if we have stud DT's to hold down the middle and take on multiple lineman. We have some young talent on D line, maybe we can rotate 6-8 players and bring the heat.
This is a very tough site to navigate. Maybe I just got to get used to it.
Lock N load, thanks for the help. I agree that it is a little confusing here because there are so many options. I am gaining in that regard.
Sacks are fun to watch for the fans. Big play type thing. If the back 7 have the recievers covered and the front 4 have the escape routes blocked a sack is inevitable. Or a throw away which is also OK. Maybe even better as that can get picked. Just don't get baited into chasing. that is when escapes happen.
I tend to think Bo's philosophy on pass rush does not start w/ the front four. I believe it has everything to do with how a QB reacts to seeing his 1... 2...3 and 4 targets all covered and not knowing what to do. The back 7 dictate with the matchup zone, having at least 2 of the primary targets have an over and under cover man, leaving maybe one receiver in a true man to man sitch. The trouble is figuring out in 3 seconds who exactly that guy is. The rush comes in having a strong man bulldozing through, forcing a double team here and there. You aren't going to see that classic pass rush where the right end blows by the left tackle ending up with the QB getting earholed.
Joe understands. The problem was, and may still be, when the QB took off and started improvising after he realized he had nobody to throw to. It takes extreme disipline by the front four and it broke down on many occasions last year..
It ain't as simple as it looks.

Pass rush was terrible last year. This needs to improve dramatically thsi year. If it does, the the sky is the limit!
